	Introducing Julia Balzer Riley, RN, MN, AHN-BC, REACE

Speaker, Julia has a Master's Degree in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing and has been speaking for over 20 years. Her experience includes: staff nurse; clinical nurse specialist; community mental health; faculty for diploma, baccalaureate, and graduate nursing; training and development; management development; and entrepreneur. The thread that runs through Julia’s work is communication, the sacred connections between people. Her area of specialization is health caring connections between caregiver and client, the client’s family, and other staff. Her mission is to Respirit, Reinspire, and Revitalize.

She has worked with support groups for people with cancer, lupus, arthritis, pulmonary disease, people who are HIV positive, and families of children with cancer and family members with Alzheimer's disease. Currently she facilitates expressive arts at the Hospice of Southwest Florida.

Keynote Speaker, Julia has a special interest in the nurse-client relationship and has developed, "The Healing Presence ... F.O.C.U.S.E.D. ™ on health caring relationships," to recapture meaning in health care and strategies to celebrate the joy of nursing within the changing health care environment.
